Old As Dirt

I am totally in love with the decorations my neighbour bought for my 30th birthday party. The sweet and Innocent reminder of my youthful days gone past turned into a rather long conversation about what princess was hotter. Needless to say, it's totally Jasmine. Sleeping beauty is so cute it's obnoxious. I think that Ariel -- being a Mermaid -- would smell fishy even in her human form. Snow White is so white she looks like she could use some vitamin D shots or a rare steak. Belle has a name that literally means pretty -- talk about narcissistic. Nobody wants a piece of that action.
Notice the lovely comments Josh wrote on the sign for my birthday. He kindly wrote in red.

Abby's First Job

The economy is bad, so we told Abby she was going to have to cut back on diapers or get a job. Needless to say, she jumped at the chance to assert her independence and started her own dog walking business.
Abby was so dedicated to doing a good job that she tried out the leash on herself first.
Then she ran a little bit to get Gunners heart rate up and keep him interested.

Abby and Gunner were trying to figure out what direction to go next.

On the move again.

Abby was so exhausted that she had to crawl behind Gunner to make it home. Notice she was still holding on to the leash. I think she's hoping for a tip.
Now we just have to explain to her what tithing is....

Sharing Time

Guess who else loves the Easter bunny?

We Love Easter

The super sweet, cute, totally awesome Easter bunny showed up and left us some fun presents. Abby is still a little young for chocolate and other goodness so her basket was pretty practical.

She loved the Easter egg hunt we sent her on. She loves Cheerios, Pretzels and Goldfish -- exactly what that sneaky bunny filled each one with.

After the hunt was over, we spent some time flipping over and refilling the basket.

Then we skipped back home to share our treats with the other 'children'

Sunshine Adventures

It was much too beautiful to stay inside today. Here are some photos of us adventuring around Sagami Depot.

Taunting Gunner (Kristen's Dog) with his 'baby.'

Abby enjoying a little private time.
These little seeds are my arch nemesis. She picks them up and eats them while I have my back turned.
Here I am fishing one out of her mouth.

Here she is running with some in her mouth.

She is still trying to pick them off the ground as I drag her away. CHEEKY MONKEY!

Just kicking it on the front lawn.

Kristen and Abby sliding the day away.

Abby frantically trying to get back up for a round two.

Kristen at four months.

Sagamihara Park

Jeremy, Abby and I went on a fun stroll through Sagamihara Park a few weeks ago. Totally beautiful. It almost feels like you stepped inside a painting.

I am so glad we came during the week so our photos only had about 50 of the possibly 130 million Japanese people that live here in it. You have no idea how long it takes to get a family shot without our 'extended family' -- aka people we don't know that look nothing like us, but show up in our photos.

But I digress...

Sagamihara Cherry Blossom Festival

This festival was right outside the gate from my house. The street is lined each side with cherry blossom trees. People drive hours to see it. We get the view every day! So awesome.

They make these into little octo-balls that look like deep fried potatoes. Don't be fooled!

A very 'happy' Abby. She was pretty sick of festivals at this point.

I love the people in the background taking photos of us taking photos.

Rock the Blossoms

I found this cute cherry blossom dress on sale at the Zama PX. Too cute. Abby rocked the season in style!

Zama Cherry Blossom Festival

Abby was so happy to spend the Cherry Blossom Festival running in circles and pulling her hat over her head. It was much more exciting than the beautiful blossoms.
