Here are a few things we love about our mothers for Mother's Day...
Sharon Lewis
My mom is very concerned with the feelings of others. She is always the first to send a note, share a hug, or offer a kind thought when she knows someone is in need of it.
My mom makes an effort to join us in our overseas adventures at least twice a year. This comes at a huge expense in both vacation time and money.
She works really hard to stay in touch – constant emailing, phoning, etc.
She always sends us envelopes full of things she’s found or cut out of the paper. Even though most of the stuff is pretty strange it shows she thinks of us often.
My mom is incredibly fair to each of her children. She used to keep a ledger book of things she bought us to make sure no one felt left out and that she didn’t spoil one of us.
My mom worked nights for most of our lives so that she could be around us during the day. We really appreciated this when we were seniors in high school and could stay out all night. We only had to come home to get our call at curfew and then we could immediately leave again and hang out with our friends till dawn. Thanks, mom.
She is adventurous. She traveled around before she was married and encouraged us to do the same. Always independent, she was a great role model for being self sufficient. A very important thing I hope to pass on to Abby.

My mom has a very, very strong faith that fill her with hope and gives her a great attitude. She always knows when you’re in need of an encouraging email or kind thought. She is always sending us little notes about how much she loves and misses us. This always come after a bad day and are a great motivator to press on.
She taught Jeremy that he could be anything he wanted. Nothing was out of his grasp. He always believed her and just expected that wonderful things would happen.
Mom always puts her family first. She taught the importance of a close family and extended family.
She is NOT concerned with the opinions of others. She lives her life to please her family and the Lord. She is never one to gossip. She is confident in who she is. She’s not afraid to wear a fanny pack in public.
My mom takes tremendous care of her body. She gets an astronomical amount of supplements, vitamins, exercise, time fasting, vegetable juice – beet juice with ginger and lime, anyone? She just might live forever.
She’s big on traditions – from holiday chains to General Conference surround sound, you know what to expect as every season approaches.

Oh my goodness! You are totally trying to "show up" all of us other siblings. A Hallmark card wasn't good enough? I guess I am going to have to send a plane with a scrolling message behind it next Mother's Day. Kiss up!
Thank you Denise. I love you.
