Sunday Snapshots

Here are some random shots over the past few weeks. Abby and I took these first few shots before church. That beautiful baby boy bump is now 26 weeks huge. Abby loves to cuddle, talk to and kiss her little brother. It's so fun to see her so excited to meet him.

She loves to run away from me. I love watching her ringlets bounce as she goes.

Grandma Robertson can't wait to teach Abby to dance. It's always been an important part of her life. Both Jeremy and I lack sweet moves, so we're happy she has a role model with some skills. I found this cute pair of PJs to get her prepared.

I Almost Forgot...

I almost forgot the good times earlier in the week when Abby managed to get the door handle off the door when I was out walking Beth. I had to punch a hole in the screen window to let myself back in. She showed her concern by sitting on the couch watching Elmo. Good thing we're leaving the projects this week...

This Week...

Friday

My birthday was full of my favorite "F' things: family, friends, food and flowers. We started with a swimming play date in the morning. Abby loved it almost as much as I did. In the evening, Jeremy surprised me with my flowers and a homemade whip cream and strawberry shortcake. Totally delish. We topped off the night with cuddles and The Hurt Locker. The cuddling was awesome but the movie stunk it.

Tuesday

My OBGYN is pretty blunt, so I wasn't too shocked when he let me know I was getting fat again. The scale claims I've put on 35 pounds. BOO HISS. I had a super rough month (Easter, moving, no exercise) but am back on track. I love how end-of-the-world dramatic he gets with every extra pound. Obviously, I know how much it sucks to lose the weight -- last year I lost the 45 pounds I'm eventually going to gain back this year. I guess he miss understood the I'm-so-freaking-happy-I've-gained-35-pounds-already-cartwheels I was doing in the parking lot.

Today Abby rubbed it in by saying, "I love you, horse, instead of I love you, mom." To her defense, we were watching a horse show at the time. Jeremy thought that was the most hilarious thing. They're quite the comedy duo.

Monday

Abby loves to play hide and go seek, which is usually a really fun game. It's not so fun when she leaves the house without me knowing and plays it on the front yard by herself. I went ahead and canceled that game forever by putting a chain lock on the back door, but not even a metal lock can stop my Abby from winning a game. The next day she learned to squeeze herself through the small crack between wall and the door and got out anyway.

So now we have to use the door jam they hammered in to shorten the chain and trick her into thinking the door is locked. The things we have to do to keep the little critters safe.

Mickey Mouse!

I made a promise to myself that I would see Tokyo Disney before I left Japan. I was a little nervous taking Abby on such an adventure, but totally excited to see her reaction to the theme park magic. Luckily, Crystal and Ainsley were all over it. Crystal even had the courage to drive there, which is pretty dang insane to me.

Abby was totally THRILLED the whole day. She behaved like a princess and not one tantrum is to be reported. She braved every ride like a trooper and was not shy in yelling out "one more time" when she saw the ride nearing its end. She even managed to throw out quite a few stank eyes to keep our spirits upbeat and the day interesting.

The weather was perfect. There was NO lines. We literally walked on almost all the rides and into most of the shows. The kids were able to run free as we roamed around sampling the random foods and displays. It was pure bliss.

I wore layers to cover the baby bump and most of the workers were easily fooled into thinking I was just fat. Holding Abby in front of me was a good tool for covering baby boy Robertson. They were a little concerned the lap bar wouldn't merge into my fat layers and close all the way. It was just a good reason to hold Abby close and hold on tight.

There is nothing more to say, but BEST DAY EVER!

Crystal and I were way more excited than the kids to be there. This was a common theme through my pictures...
Abby does not like people dressing up as animals. She had no problem on the rides but was terrified by Mr. Happy Chipmunk. She had no problem waving bye and beelining it out of there. It should also be noted, we literally had to push the Japanese adults out of the way to get these photos. They were scrambling to get the character autographs. Somebody needs to let them know this isn't the REAL chipmunk.

There was only one ride that Abby was too little to ride. We kicked it by Ariel's castle until Ainsley and Crystal were done. Abby thought the strawberry popcorn was delish.

Clearly, we loved this ride to death.

It was all smiles on the blow fish.

Abby gave the blow fish the pleasant stank eye.

Once again, Crystal is happier than the kiddos.

Aladdin's Kingdom had super awesome curry. Abby didn't want Aladdin to get too cocky, so she gave it four stank-eye stars.

Abby surprised me and rode the two-level carousel horses by herself. That's my courageous girl!

She gave the stank-eye to people who needed help riding.

I can't wait to take Abby on a REAL camel ride. Soon enough, my little Abs.

Abby has no problem snapping photos with dogs. They're always our friends.

We even caught the Tinkerbell parade at the end of the day.

Here are some videos of us riding the rides. I didn't want Jeremy to miss out on any of the action.
He gets motion sickness so I'm sure these will just make him vomit.

Our next big Disney adventure will be Euro Disney! Can't wait!

It's a Beautiful Day

Today was amazing! The weather was perfect and spring was all around. We couldn't help but revel in the goodness.

Abby's friend taught her to roll down hills. She can't help but use her new skill every time she sees an incline.

This is a prime example of Abby in full defiance. She used to be concerned when we got out of eye shot, but now she is content maneuvering through the world on her own. She's playing underneath the tree and totally ignoring our calls to follow us.

Luckily, Jeremy went back to prod her along.

This playhouse is awesome.
